This is valid for all Shared, Reseller, Semi-Dedicated & WordPress Hosting accounts.

We provide weekly backups with our shared, reseller, semi-dedicated & WordPress hosting services. These backups are taken once every week and are kept for the past 4 weeks. This means that at any given point of time you will be able to access 4 versions of your backups from the last 4 weeks.

Below are the steps on how to download or recover files, folders, databases, mailboxes, mail filters, mail forwarders using Acronis plugin from your cPanel interface:

1. Access your cPanel account, you’ll see the icon with the label ‘Acronis’ under the “Files” category, as shown below:

2. On the screen you will see all the available recovery points, as shown below:

After you select the recovery point, the corresponding backup is mounted to the cPanel server. The process may take up to a few minutes

3. On the ‘Backups’ tab, you will see ‘Files, ‘Databases’, ‘Mailboxes’, and ‘Mail Forwarders’ options, as shown below:

To restore a single file or multiple files/directories, you have to click on ‘Files’ then select the files and folders to recover/download. Please see the screenshot below for more details.

In the screenshot number 1,2 shows the files which are selected to recover/download. To recover them click on the ‘Recover’ button shown with number 3 and to download them click on the ‘Download’ button shown with number 4 in the screenshot.

If you choose to download a single file, the download will start immediately.

If you select multiple files to download, a .zip archive will be prepared and placed into your home folder. Once the archive is ready, download it by using the link in the notification bar or in the Operation Log, or by using the File Manager as shown below:

4. To recover the files/directories, when you click on the ‘Recover’ button, you will see a few options like ‘Recover to original location’, ‘Delete any files in the original location that were created after the backup’. You can choose any option as per your requirement and click on ‘Recover’ button.

Note: If this option Delete any files in the original location that were created after the backup' is enabled, all files from selected folders will be deleted before the recovery. This option may be useful if your website were hacked, to ensure that all malicious files are deleted.
